Come along to our FREE  summer training sessions every Tuesday evening from 8.00PM to 9.00PM at Ashmole Academy until 31st July.

There is NO session on Tuesday 19th June.

Members and non-members are welcome.

North London Hockey

North London Hockey is a programme of youth hockey training set up by Southgate Adelaide and Hendon & Mill Hill Hockey Clubs.

Events are running at Ashmole Academy from Saturday 21st April until 8th July. For further information follow us on our Facebook page NorthLondonHockey

Year 9 or below? You could represent your borough

North London Hockey will be running coaching and squad selection sessions for children in Year 9 or below at Ashmole Academy from 21st April until 8th July.

Informer's reward: Player's gratitude

We have put together an U14s team of Enfield Boys to represent Enfield Borough at the London Youth Games. However, we are finding that their schools and some hockey clubs did not tell them about the opportunity. In fact, tell-a-friend route was the most successful.

We are now putting together U12s teams for girls, and for boys, for both Barnet AND Enfield Boroughs.

So PLEASE if you know of someone (friend, relative, neighbour) who has played hockey and is in School Year 6 or 7, please ask them "DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PLAYING IN THE BOROUGH HOCKEY TEAM?" (Please do not assume they know)

Please ask them to register free quickly as we want to get the Borough teams together as quickly as possible so that we get the best teams for the Boroughs.

Elite players are NOT able to participate as the Games aim to be as open as possible for all.

WANTED Year 9 (or Under) Hockey Players for Barnet Borough squads AND Enfield Borough squads in the London Youth Games

For those joining now, we will only charge £6 per 90minute session.

The following secondary schools have provided eligible players towards the Boroughs' squads (Alexandra Park, Ashmole, Dame Alice Owen, Finchley Catholic, Highlands, Haberdashers, Latymer, Mount House, The Compton).

Some of them already play for our neighbouring clubs (West Hampstead, Southgate, Southgate Adelaide, Hendon & Mill Hill) or have been inspired by school sport sessions.

We hold our last Year 9 & Under selection session on 19th May and then have one week to nominate the squads. Latecomers' parents can register through the [Book Now] button.

To be eligible, you must:
*live in OR go to school in the Boroughs of Barnet OR Enfield
*have been born on, or after, 01.09.03

Year 7 & Under selection and coaching sessions will continue and online player applications are still welcome. On 2nd June, we will decide how many Year 7 & Under teams to enter.

The good news is that we have discovered new players who have been invited to play senior hockey for us. (Children can play senior hockey after their 13th birthday provided the youth, parents and club are confident in the youth's ability.)

Whatever happens, we want to coach the children until they are ready to play senior hockey in our clubs. At that point, we provide free senior coaching.
